M28 Skytruck

The PZL M28 Skytruck, a mainstay of utility aviation, made its first flight in 1984. Its roots lie in the Antonov An-28, a twin-turbine designed for extreme operations, for which the Polish PZL-Mielec acquired the production license in the 1970s.

This transition marked a significant evolution. PZL-Mielec did not limit itself to mere reproduction, but began an ambitious program of modernization and westernization. The goal was to create a higher-performance aircraft, suited to global needs in terms of reliability and maintenance.
